Edith P. Blackledge, 66, of Louin, MS passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her residence in Louin, MS. She was born Friday, May 31, 1957 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS. The funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. The burial will then take place in Palestine Cemetery in Montrose, Mississippi. Bro. Gil Powell will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Paul Robert Blackledge; son, Paul Joseph “Joey” Blackledge; father, Bennie Glass.
Survivors include her sons, Matthew Timothy Blackledge, Jake Wright (Melissa); daughters, Marie Blackledge Sims (Carter), Christie Blackledge Phillips (Jason) and Beverly Blackledge Gilmer (Eddie); mother, Jane Rasberry Glass; grandchildren, Trent Sims, Emma Rogers (Timothy Moss), Conner Phillips, Joey Wright, Andy Wright, Katie Wright, Raiden Gilmer, and Bella Blackledge; brothers, Paul David Glass (Alicia), Kenneth Glass and Danny Purvis; sister, Debra Purvis.
Pallbearers will be Paul David Glass, Kenneth Glass, Carter Sims, Jacob Wright, Jason Phillips, and Matthew Blackledge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Phillips, Joey Wright, Andy Wright, Raiden Gilmer, and Eddie Gilmer.
